The study of Physics connects what we see around us to root causes, and through these connections, discover the reasons for why nature exists the way it does, from the smallest sub-atomic particles to the largest galaxies. Physics is one of the core science subjects at the A Levels.
Mr Espen Lim has more than 18 years experience in JC Physics tuition. Between 2013 and 2015, he tutored more than 100 students from different JCs. 96% of those students achieved As and Bs in their A-level examinations.
Espen adopts an exam orientated style in his teaching methodology and helps students maximize their improvement within the shortest possible time. He breaks down complex concepts to facilitate understanding and in doing do, students found Espen’s lessons to be interesting and engaging. He has tutored students from Raffles Institution, Hwa Chong Institution, Anglo-Chinese Junior College, National Junior College, Victoria Junior College, and other JCs. He has been featured in MyPaper, The Straits Times and The New Paper.
Espen recognizes that students have different learning abilities and different teaching styles would appeal to the students, depending on their unique needs. Instead of getting the students to adapt to the tutor’s teaching style, especially in group tuition, Espen customizes his teaching methodology for his students. He has the special ability to determine the best learning method for each student and employ the optimal approach to teach his students. In just 2 to 3 months of group tuition with him, students will see significant improvements for themselves. As for individual tuition, results can be seen as fast as 1 month.
During school term, each physics topic will be covered in detail over two lessons. Around 2 to 3 weeks before the exams, there will be revision lessons on the topics that will be tested. Each lesson is conducted systematically and well planned out. A key value-add of attending Espen’s physics tuition class is that every lesson is highly efficient and packed with bite size information. Students usually learn more in the 2 hours of weekly tuition than what they learnt in the whole week at school!
